My favorite way to start wedding days is by photographing ALL of the beautiful details that were hand-picked by each couple. Have you ever wondered what details to have ready for your photographer on your wedding day?? I mean you spend a lot of time picking out these little details so I am here to make sure that we remember them all! I usually allow for a good amount of time to capture everything from your dress, to the rings, to the special little detail that your mom or grandma might have saved for this very day!
Below is a list of the most common things found in these detail photos. Before the wedding I usually will ask the bride to make sure she has all these items together in one spot so it makes it super easy to find that morning!
– Invitation Suite
– Wedding Dress
– Special Hanger
– Rings (Engagement ring, her wedding band, and his wedding band)
– Ring Boxes
– Veil
– Hair pieces
– Perfume
– Shoes
– Jewelry (earrings, necklace, bracelet, etc.)
– Garter
– Flowers (Bouquet or even some extras set aside by the florist)
– Notes to each other
Pro tip: If you ask your florist for some extra stems for detail shots these can really level up your detail photos!
This may seem like a long list but having these items captured is so important! I also want to point out that you might not have or might not want everything on this list and that’s okay! You should include the details that are important to you and the ones you want captured. This looks different for every couple. Sometimes these items are sentimental to a couple so being able to photograph them is such a gift!
Love,
Lauren
